I got sick of constantly untangling the rats nest of cables and electronics accessories that kept developing in my daily bag. Organizers to the rescue!
I’ve been a big fan of the AmazonBasics Universal Travel Case in the past, but I stopped using it on a regular basis because it was bulky and wasted a lot of space in my bag. Still a solid case for the price, but not daily carry material.
I have since moved to the ProCase Travel Gear Organizer supplemented by a Cocoon Grid-It. This system is more compact and flexible than before and I really like how the ProCase is laid out. The items within are potentially less protected than with the hard-sided AmazonBasics case, but considering it’s already in a padded bag (and I don’t put anything breakable in it anyway), I’m willing to make that sacrifice. Organization efficiency trumps raw protection in this case.
The Anker SoundCore is my favorite. Dual drivers, solid sound and build quality, great battery life.
I also use the Cambridge SoundWorks OontZ Angle in places where I need some water and dust resistance (it usually lives in my kitchen).
There are much more expensive options out there, and some do have superior sound quality, but these deliver the best price to performance.
My pick is definitely the Microsoft Universal Foldable Keyboard. As the name implies it folds into a very compact package, key travel/feel is good, and it’s compatible with anything you connect to it, including Apple devices.
On a budget? Pick up the Logitech K380.
I’ve tested quite a few smartphone lenses. Setting aside options like the Moment (I don’t own any phones that their mounting plate fits), the best lens I’ve found is the Aukey Ora. It includes both a wide angle and macro lens and they both work very well.
The Logitech C922x Pro Stream is currently the best webcam out there.
The easiest for most people is LastPass.
If you have concerns with the proprietary nature of LastPass, check out KeePass and KeePassX.
Padlock is worth a look too.
No, it’s pretty much the worst time to buy a Mac Pro as of late 2016.
